Review to XML — FAQ
Everything you need to know about converting review CSV exports into a Google XML feed.
Frequently asked questions
What is a Google Product Review Feed? +
It is an XML file describing your product reviews (content, rating, date, review URL and product identifiers) that you submit to Google Merchant Center so star ratings can appear on Google Shopping.
Is Review to XML free? +
Yes — completely free, with no signup, no watermark and no limit on the number of reviews.
Is my data safe? +
Your CSV is processed entirely in your browser and never uploaded to any server, so your customer review data stays private.
Which apps can I convert from? +
Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, Yotpo, Stamped.io, the Shopify Product Reviews app, and any other tool that exports a standard reviews CSV.
Which schema version is the output? +
The XML follows the Google Product Review Feed schema version 2.4, the current supported version.
What happens to reviews with missing data? +
Reviews that are missing a required field (content, date, review URL, rating, or a product identifier) are flagged in the preview and skipped so your feed stays valid.
Can I host the feed instead of uploading it? +
Yes. You can host the downloaded XML at a public URL and register that URL in Google Merchant Center, or upload the file directly.
